- Endoscopic ultrasound
- CT to stage tumour (+ - PET)
Management
- 10% 5 year survival
- Squamous cell cancer
- Radiotherapy + - chemotherapy
- Surgery
- Adenocarcinoma
- Surgery
- Palliative neo-adjuvant chemotherapy
- Palliation: oesophageal stents to reduce dysphagia
- Thermal ablation (endoscopically)
- Radiotherapy
